Welcome to the first in a series of regular Friday round-ups of the best of UK-based parenting blogs. If you've read or written a great parenting-related blog post, let us know about it at this address
Dozens of you sent in posts this week, but unfortunately we only have space to feature a few. But I've added all your blogs to my Google Reader and will be keeping an eye on your posts for future round-ups, so watch this space.
- There's been much media chatter about Swine Flu parties this week, but as Alphamummy points out, this kerfuffle has very little substance to it..
- This week's most commented on post at ParentDish was Natasha Kaplinsky's decision to take a pay cut in order to spend more time with her son. Most of you couldn't believe she was paid so much in the first place.
- You don't have to be female to be a mummy blogger, as proved by Single Parent Dad's well written and often moving blog. This week he's been looking at how to bring more physical and mental balance to life.
- Tomorrow is the 4th of July, which tends to pass without note in the UK, though of course in the US it's a huge deal. Karin of Cafe Bebehas been reminiscing here about her childhood summers in America, whilst Michelloui wrote what I thought was a very interesting post on the Expat Mums Blog about how being an American living in the UK has changed her.
