As you read this, I shall be sipping champagne by a pool, enjoying the surroundings of a brand new swanky £20 million spa hotel, which launches today. In fact, it's that gleaming white hotel on the right. Looks mighty fancy, doesn't it? Welcome to the new face of Butlins. Bognor Regis just went up in the world.

Watch this space because in a few days I'll be reviewing the event and the new hotel. I haven't been to Butlins since I went on a school trip when I was about 10, and then it was all about the grimy chalets. It'll be interesting to see how things have changed.
