Baking a product from scratch can be fun, and the results delicious, but in reality it may not always be easier to find the time and ingredients to create a tasty treat with the kids. Especially in the run up to Christmas.
Yup, I've mentioned the dreaded C word.
Dr Oetker has recently announced a range of baking kits that are ideally suited to the Christmas period. The three kits, priced at £1.99 each, allow you to create a Gingerbread house kit (right), Christmas stained glass cookie kit, and Christmas Tree decoration set.
The products are aimed at the kids market, so this is the kind of cooking you can easily get the kids involved in. All of the products are pretty enough to use as Christmas decorations too.
They've also released some Christmas writing icing sets, and Christmas sprinkles (which you can never be too old for!)
So, with all that extra time, what will you do instead?
