Two children were caught up in a series of robberies in Los Angeles, when their parents dragged them on a crime spree.
The couple took their 6- and 4-year-old along, and left them in the car whilst they allegedly committed armed robberies in the area. Their actions came to an end when they reached the International House of Pancakes.
This proved to be where their plan went awry, when a pair of policemen walked into the restaurant and were alerted to the gun-carrying male robber by an employee.
The robbers at this point escaped the building and hopped back into the car. Unaware of the children on board, the police gave chase, finally stopping the vehicle by ploughing into the back of the car to halt its movement.
The suspects William Farag and Nadia Redoble, both 28, were arrested and jailed in lieu of $150,000. They may also face child endangerment charges, and both children have now been placed in protective custody.
