Boy Killed By A Bullet Fired Up To Three Miles Away

A four-year-old boy is the tragic victim of a shooting, from a gun fired up to three miles a way.

The little boy, Marquel Peters, was sitting in church with his parents when a falling bullet came through the roof and hit him in the head. Nobody could understand what had happened to the boy until doctors removed the bullet from his head.

Sadly, by that point the boy had lost his fight for life.

The incident occurred around New Year in Decatur, Georgia.

Officials believe the bullet was fired from an AK-47 Assault rifle. It's difficult to pinpoint the location the bullet came from, as the gun is estimated to have been pointed at a 30 to 40 degree angle. This means that the gun could have been fired anything from half a mile to three miles away.

The mother of the boy is currently appealing for someone to come forward regarding the boy's death. Sadly, the likelihood is that the gun owner isn't even aware anything had happened. Experts are currently using the bullet to see if they have a matching gun on record.
