Stocked up on suncream? flip flops? swimming costume? picnic basket? Then you're all ready for a trip to the beach!
Aside from jellyfish, one of the biggest concerns of parents when hitting the beach is ensuring the kids stay safe in the sun. In the past we've looked at natural sun screens, and suncare options for impatient children.
The newest suncare products are items of clothing that incorporate UV protection to keep your kids extra-safe from the sun's harmful rays.
This bamboo sunshirt (£20) on the right is from Tatty Bumpkin, and offers natural anti-UVA protection. It's lightweight enough not to leave them boiling, whilst still covering their skin.
For the swimmers, Swimbabies offers UV Swimming Top and Short sets for £26.50. These sets offer SPF 50.
These Children's Towelling Beach Wraps, from Morrck, (£19.95) don't actually have any UV protection, but they're a clever way to dry the kids off after they come out of the sea. Skin burns faster when wet, so it's important to keep them dry when they're not in the sea.
