THE SCOOP: Richard Nicoll is known for his super chic, elegant silhouettes, and this season was no exception as he delivered a collection of elegant work clothes and sumptuous evening wear. The hair and makeup had to be up to par. "The look was modern, clean and dramatic," explained Bryant backstage. "She's sculpted, finished, gorgeous and expensive."

For the hair, Hersheson's first starting point was Robert Palmer's Addicted to Love video, particularly the slicked back hair. "The clothes are super chic so we wanted the look to feel a bit effortless but still quite simple. It was a little bit Grace Jones," he said backstage. "We ended up going with a look we call Bun-dage."

GET THE LOOK – MAKEUP: Eyes were sculpted with tawny shades and cheekbones received a similar treatment with MAC Mineralize. Also, cheekbones and the bridge of the nose were highlighted with Shell Cream Colour Base. "We decided to add drama to the lip," Bryant explained. "So we went for a chilly shade of lip pencil called Auburn all over, blended through and then outwards. To add definition, we went into the Cupid's bow and reapplied Auburn again. We ended up with quite a severe colour." Eyelashes were curled but mascara was omitted, continuing the predominant makeup theme for a/w 2010.

GET THE LOOK – HAIR: "We used loads of Deviation Paste and water to make hair really wet-looking. We were going for a bit of a Brylcreem effect," Hersheson explained. He said it's important for the ponytail to start right above the bone to get a severe - but still sexy - silhouette. He spread more Deviation Paste through the ends of hair and twisted the ponytail tightly until it was almost rope-like in texture, before pinning into a bun. Hersheson finished off with Texture Expert Sparkling Mist, a new shine product that's so shiny it almost looks wet.

GET THE LOOK – NAILS: "The nail look was all about healthy living," Newman said. "It was very natural and gorgeous – there are so many natural-looking nails this year." Her colour of choice? Ruby & Millie Nude, which she followed with a buff and a bit of white pencil.
