DESIGNER: BCBG Max Azria

INSPIRATION: "It's all about dresses, dresses, dresses and short, short, short," Azria told our friends at StyleList. "They're cool and sexy and will be perfect for New York." Indeed.

TOP LOOKS: The bright, hot coloured frocks - in acid yellow, poppy and a heavily saturated coral.

ACCESSORIES: Do shoes count? These little sheaths took center stage without any embellishment.

WHO WAS THERE: Ashley Wentz, Kelly Rowland, Coco Rocha, Katrina Bowden, Alison Brie, the Veronicas, Nastia Liukin, Anna Wintour

WHAT WE THOUGHT: This was a collection of one-piece dressing. Like Azria said, there were dresses - all dresses in fact - except for two jumpsuits and a romper. And short! This designer cleverly extended the super short hemline of these dresses by a couple of inches by adding a sheer mesh, sometimes called illusion, along the bottom. Does that make the wearer more comfortable? Probably, but it's still mighty short.

Tellingly, Azria's wife and collaborator, Lubov, came out in a dress that looked to be from the collection with its draping, but it ran to her knees. Still, these simple little sheaths with their cool horizontally draped bits will please many leggy ladies.
