MAKEUP: Rachel Wood for Benefit

HAIR: Ricardo for label.m

SNAPSHOT: Rock 'n' roll warriors

THE SCOOP: For a/w, Palmer's knitwear had a distinct rock 'n' roll feel; the colours were black and grey and the designs were "all about the shapes", with spikes protruding from the designs. Wood emphasised this by creating "Joan Jett" inspired makeup, while Ricardo went for a "warrior" hair look. Wood said, "The designer had pictures of the Batmobile in her studio, so bats were a big inspiration. But even though the look was rocky, I didn't want to go for the typical smokey eye, so I went for a really strong, sharp brow, for a Samurai feel."

GET THE LOOK - MAKEUP: Wood used Babycake Liner to get the angular, jet-black brows and defined eyes, and curled the lashes with "tonnes of Get Bent Lash Mascara" to get the rock 'n' roll feel. A touch of Hoola Bronzer was used under the jawline, with a gold shadow to fill in the corners of the lids. The skin was left clean and perfect to highlight the dark brows and eyes.

GET THE LOOK - HAIR: Ricardo said the hair was inspired by Japanese geisha girls, with pointy sides that were almost horn-like. To combine this with the warrior feel, he created long, messy pony-tails so that the look wasn't too clean. Ricardo's key products were Extra Strong Mousse to hold the styles in place and Sea Salt Spray to add lift to the tousled pony-tails.
