Jemma Kidd knows a thing or two when it comes to making women look their best. As a makeup artist she has plucked, primed and primped some of the most famous faces in the world - from Sienna Miller and Jerry Hall to the Duchess of York. And she's trialled the very latest makeup, hair and skin products along the way.

In 2003 Jemma founded the Jemma Kidd Make Up School to encourage and educate a new breed of makeup artist, and subsequently perfected her eponymous makeup range. Launched at Selfridges in 2005, Jemma Kidd Make Up has quickly made the leap from niche beauty label to multi-million pound global brand.

All this adds up to a near encyclopaedic, dare we say nerdish, knowledge when it comes to the beauty counter. So what are the products that Ms Kidd can't survive without in her own beauty routine? We caught up with the makeup doyenne. Click below to see Jemma's daily essentials.

I've always been a devotee of DiorShow Black Out mascara, but Diorshow Extase Instant Oversize Volume Mascara is a recent addition to the line - and is my new makeup bag essential. I have really fair lashes and this is perfect for adding volume and defining them. It instantly opens up my eyes.

Mitsouko by Guerlain Paris is my all time favourite scent. Because it's such an old fragrance, few people still wear it and I always get lovely comments.
