London Fashion Week Draws To A Close

Sequinned cowgirls: Master of sequins Ashish (he's immortalised everything from palm trees to Nike's 'Just Do It' motto in his favourite fabric) has tackled the cowgirl for spring, complete with cowboy hat and boots (emblazoned with Heinz Baked Beans graphics). Cowhides, Navajo prints, plaid and bandana fabrics all got sequinned makeovers, while long suede fringe hung off of sweatpants, shorts and jeans. Yee-haw!

Indian escape: Lily Allen and her sister Sarah Owen sat front-row to check out Issa's s/s 2011 collection, inspired by a trip designer Daniella Issa Helayel took to Rajasthan - think bright colours on silk separates and lace party frocks, asymmetric sari styles and turbans.

Doll parts: 90s-era Courtney Love was the muse for Meadham Kirchoff's latest collection: multi-coloured hair, grungy layers and lots of girly flourishes (a pastel palette, poufs, bows and glitter galore) mixed with an aura of angst made for a lot of appealing items.

Vroom vroom: Both Marios Schwab and Burberry's Christopher Bailey are revving up those motorbikes come spring. For Schwab, the look was lingerie-meets-biker babe, with tough leather pieces, occult graphics and Siouxie Sioux hair alongside skimpy slip dresses, while Bailey's girls in their motocross leather trousers and skinny fit studded jackets over ruffled silk minidresses provided plenty to salivate over. In this season's military-inspired duds, SJP, Cat Deeley and Alexa Chung were all drooling in the front row, where we also spotted tennis aces Serena Williams and Andy Murray.

Ones to watch: Fashion East's lineup this year included fashion royalty Simone Rocha (daughter of John Rocha), whose vision for spring is an all-white mix of masculine tailoring and girly ruffles; Heikki Salonen, who went for grungy looks made out of linen and gauze and finished off with a pair of Birkenstocks; and Felicity Brown, whose cocktail party dresses come in beautiful shades with lots of ruffled embellishment.

Colour wheel: We want to wear all of the colours Jonathan Saunders put on his spring/summer 2011 catwalk, like the bold shots of tangerine, yellow, turquoise, peach, sky blue and mint green. Any one of those dresses or pleated minis would work at a summer garden party -- all we need is a Pimms and we're good to go.

Super soirées: Kate Moss threw a party at Longchamp's New Bond Street store to launch her second collection for the brand, with guests like Sadie Frost, Amber Rose, Jamie Winstone, Jo Wood and Janice Dickinson. Meanwhile, fellow super Naomi Campbell was being fêted by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana at the Dolce & Gabbana flagship on Bond Street, to celebrate her 25 years in the fashion industry. Celeb guests including Lily Allen, Alexandra Burke, Claudia Schiffer and Liz Hurley snapped up Naomi-emblazoned tees to raise funds for Pakistan's floods.

First lady of fashion: She may have been absent from the shows this season (we'll give her a break considering she just gave birth), but SamCam's going to be a front-row fixture at future LFWs. The PM's wife has been named an ambassador for LFW. Watch this space.
