HAIR: Neil Moodie for Bumble & Bumble
SNAPSHOT: "Fallout zone"
THE SCOOP: For hair and makeup it was about creating chaos, but was layered over something structured and beautiful. "It's a little bit sexy, a little bit edgy," said Box, "just like Mark's designs".
GET THE LOOK MAKEUP: "We're creating an opalescent texture to skin using Mac Studio Sculpt, and then putting in some old school contouring with a darker powder", explains Box "but the idea is that the complexion looks really dewy." Lips were kept neutral with a little bit of Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream, with gothic heavy shadow around the eyes. "We're doing this with a mixture of brown and black shadow so it's not so harsh", says Box. False lashes are then applied to the upper lids, with a dense glitter powder applied on the inside corner of the eye for a dose of catwalk drama.
GET THE LOOK HAIR: Moodie used Bumble & Bumble Hairspray layered with Bumble & Bumble Thickening Spray to create a matte, beachy texture. He diffused the hair after all the products were applied, to allow it to dry with the matte texture still in place. The hair was brushed through before a curling iron was used to add a few waves. Moodie wanted the look "to open out the face so that the girls looked pure and fresh", so to finish, he tied the sides back into a ponytail and then pinned the top section back to add support.
