Australia's Next Top Model Crowns Wrong Winner On Live Television

Tyra Banks would have had their pretty heads!

For less than two minutes, beauty Kelsey Martinovich reigned as Australia's Next Top Model.

Her coronation on live television was cut short when the Fox show's stammering host, Australian supermodel Sarah Murdoch, informed a shocked studio audience that she named the wrong winner.

The title, it seems, actually belonged to stunner Amanda Ware!

"I don't know what to say about this," Murdoch said, pressing her hand to her forehead. "I'm feeling a bit sick about this."

Murdoch, daughter-in-law of media mogul Rupert Murdoch, explained that she was given the wrong name by producers and blamed the confusion on close voting. The drama was the risk of "live television," she said.

The briefly jubilant Martinovich comforted Murdoch, graciously congratulated Ware, and snagged herself $25,000 and a trip to New York City as an apology from the embarrassed production.
