Diary Of A 6-Year-Old: Best Friends And Men In Skirts

I've got two best friends in school. Most people only have one best friend so that means I'm special.

There's a boy in my class called Simon MacDonald. He is from Scotland which is a different country and sits on top of England and has it's very own monster.

Peter says the men there wear skirts and calls Simon Bigmac!

When he said that to Simon MacDonald they both had to go to the Headmistress's office afterwards. I've only been in there once. I wasn't in trouble or anything I just had to pick up some books for Mrs Fairclough. It was small but there were big flowers on the table and it smelled a bit like oranges even though I couldn't see any anywhere.

She is a nice lady Mrs Fairclough. Some of the kids call her Mrs Fair-enough but I don't in case she hears me. I'm not very good at being quiet. Once at Emily's birthday party we were playing Sleeping Logs. Everyone had to lie still like a tree trunk but I was the first one out because I forgot and sat up to tell Emily that there was ice cream later.

Anyway Peter says my two best friends only count as one because they are twins. He said that means that really they are only one person. My twins didn't like that very much. Then Peter had to go to see the headmistress again.

I still say I have two best friends though. Even if they look the same. Which they really do.
