L'Air Du Temps Gets A Modern Makeover From Philippe Starck

Nina Ricci

Nina Ricci's iconic fragrance, L'Air du Temps, has had its legendary 'two doves' bottle redesigned by world-renowned contemporary French product designer, Philippe Starck.

In contrast to the classic fragrance – which has remained the same for generations of women for more than 60 years – the new limited edition bottle is the epitome of modern design.

Whether you're a long-time fan of Ricci's signature scent or you just fancy owning a creation from one of the world's most famous contemporary designers, this is the 'it' accessory of the season for dressing tables everywhere.

"There is no difference in making a rocket, a hotel, a motorbike, a museum or a fragrance because the actual object is of no importance," Starck said of his foray into the fragrance world.

"What's important is how it's going to affect the person who lives in that place or with that object. So for me, a fragrance, and above all, L'Air du Temps by Nina Ricci, is a matter of vibration. It's getting the air to vibrate in a way that suddenly moves us."

The L'Air du Temps by Phillip Starck Eau de Toilette Spray is available on counter from November (just in time for Christmas) at £41.50 for 45ml.
