Since we're always on the lookout for great celebrity style, here's a round-up of this week's best-dressed. And since there are often fashion misses among the hits, we couldn't resist pointing out those looks that were better off left on the hanger.

Check out our first installment to see which stars nailed it and who was a fashion mess. And don't forget to check back each week to see who made the cut.

Best and Worst Oct week 2

16 October: Blake Lively in Lanvin at the Spike TV Scream Awards in LA

Hot off Alber Elbaz's s/s 2011 catwalk, Blake Lively worked this beautiful halter-harness dress to perfection on the red carpet, showing off her mile-long legs and completing the look with a swept-back updo and studded sandals.

20 October: Adriana Lima shows off the newest Victoria's Secret bra, New York

The bra may be worth $2 million, but this outfit certainly isn't. Surely there was a more stylish way - not involving taffeta and opera gloves - to show off Adriana's prized assets?

Best and Worst Oct week 2

16 October: Halle Berry in Reem Acra at the Spike TV Scream Awards in LA

Halle Berry looks stunning in this gold strapless sequinned mini-dress by Reem Acra. Since the dress did all the talking, she kept the accessories to a minimum, working a pair of oversized gold hoops and peep-toe platforms.

Best and Worst Oct week 2

18 October: Kelly Osbourne in Tibi at the 2010 International Interior Designer of the Year Awards Ceremony in LA

Jumpsuits are tough enough to pull off as is, but factor in the lacy fabric and the overall look is unflattering.

Best and Worst Oct week 2

Sarah Jessica Parker in vintage Givenchy Couture at the Democratic National Party Fundraiser in New York

This floral gown, stylish chignon and touch of Carrie Bradshaw's quirkiness in the accessories made Sarah Jessica Parker's political ensemble a winner.

Best and Worst Oct week 2

18 October: Anna Kendricks in Reem Acra at Elle's Women in Hollywood Event in LA

Despite the pretty seafoam hue, this whole look is less than spectacular and would have benefited from a pulled-back hairstyle and better footwear.

Best and Worst Oct week 2

13 October: Keira Knightley in Chanel Couture at Never Let Me Go premiere, London

Keira Knightley looked stunning in this beaded cream Chanel dress, which was demure and sexy at once.

Best and Worst Oct week 2

13 October: Gillian Anderson at Never Let Me Go premiere, London

While Keira's dress was a style hit, Gillian Anderson had a major fashion mishap at the same event in an ill-fitting mint green dress with frayed hemline.

Best and Worst Oct week 2

14 October: Kimberley Walsh at the launch of her jewellery collection, London

Girls Aloud's Walsh looks chic and pretty in a camel-hued (the colour of the season) asymmetrical dress at the launch of her jewellery range in London. If she'd ditched the black tights for bare legs, this great ensemble would look even better.

Best and Worst Oct week 2

14 October: Marion Cotillard at the premiere of Les Petits Mouchoirs, Paris

Quelle horreur! Cotillard is usually a super savvy dresser, but this leather corset dress (which she's busting out of), messy hair and vampy lip made the overall look more tramp than triumph.
