Parents at an Essex primary school are up in arms after their headteacher 'cancelled' Christmas, banning pupils aged between seven and 11 from taking part in the school nativity play.
Head Andy Howe has told parents that older students at Rochford Primary School in Essex will have to concentrate instead on their studies.
But some parents say the decision is 'ridiculous' and one of them has gone as far as starting a petition against the plan at the 245-pupil school.
