Dita Von Teese is poised to make her small screen debut, taking on no fewer than three roles in an episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

The burlesque star recently told BlackBook magazine: "It's great because it's a big episode, and I play my very good friend Eric Szmanda's love interest.

"Originally, I was just going to make a small cameo of some kind, but now I play three different characters! It's a great challenge for me, much different than creating and performing burlesque shows."

Von Teese will feature as schoolteacher Ellen Whitebridge, French grandmother Agnes La Plouffe and as Dita Von Squeeze, performing her legendary oversized cocktail glass routine.

The episode entitled A Kiss Before Frying airs in the US on 20 January.
