Golden Globe Red Carpet Predictions

The stunning Halle Berry often opts for form-fitting red carpet glamour, showing off that near-perfect hourglass figure (and why not?). Recently, she's been wearing a lot of Dolce & Gabbana (love their black gown she wore at a Harry Winston cocktail party), but has also been snapped in Kaufman Franco, Elie Saab, Marchesa, and YSL to name just a few.

Golden Globe Red Carpet Predictions

We think Halle should return to her old love - Versace - for a head-turning look that suits her sexy but stylish persona. This clinging, fringed number from the spring 2011 collection would nail it - and make fantastic photo opportunities if she picks up the gong for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture for her challenging role in Frankie and Alice.

Golden Globe Red Carpet Predictions

Nominated in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture category for her role in Rabbit Hole, we're expecting great things from red carpet maven Nicole Kidman, whose tall, lithe figure lends itself to pencil dresses and fishtail and column gowns by her preferred designers, like Prada, Clements Ribeiro, L'Wren Scott, Nina Ricci, and Dolce & Gabbana, who she chose for her appearance at the 2010 Country Music Awards.

Golden Globe Red Carpet Predictions

Being a slender woman of height herself, L'Wren is the perfect designer for Nicole Kidman, and her striking black and bronze high-necked gown just screams La Kidman to us.

Golden Globe Red Carpet Predictions

The oh-so-elegant Ms Portman barely puts a style foot wrong on the red carpet, and she showed off her usual timeless-with-a-modern-twist look at a series of promotional events for Black Swan - for which she's nominated in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture category. Choosing a mix of classic and fashion-forward designers like Christian Dior, Vionnet and Jason Wu, she's been wowing on the red carpet. But it's with Rodarte that she has the closest affiliation, and it was one of the Mulleavy sisters' show-stopping creations that she chose for the 2010 Venice Film Festival. That, coupled with the fact that they also designed the ballet costumes for Black Swan, leads us to guess she'll choose Rodarte for her 2010 Golden Globes moment.

Golden Globe Red Carpet Predictions

As she's currently expecting her first baby, we think Natalie might wear a modified version of Rodarte's beautiful floral print dresses from their spring 2011 collection.

Golden Globe Red Carpet Predictions

We adore Michelle Williams' ultra-girlie look and ethereal red carpet style. She sticks to simple shapes embellished with bows, ruffles and beading, and enjoys wearing similar designers to fellow nominee Natalie Portman, favouring Christian Dior, Lanvin, Erdem, Sonia Rykiel, Chanel and Jason Wu.

Golden Globe Red Carpet Predictions

Michelle would look breathtaking in Jason Wu's petal-detail pretty pink dress from his spring 2011 collection - it would make the perfect dress in which to pick up a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture for her mesmerising role in Blue Valentine alongside Ryan Gosling.

Golden Globe Red Carpet Predictions

Since she exploded on to the scene after appearing in The Devil Wears Prada, Anne Hathaway has become a red carpet queen, pulling out big names like Oscar de la Renta, J Mendel and Valentino, who she worked beautifully at the 2010 Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit. She's been on fabulous form while promoting her movie with Jake Gyllenhaal, Love and Other Drugs, for which she's in the running for a Best Actress in a Motion Picture (Comedy or Musical) gong.

Golden Globe Red Carpet Predictions

For premieres, Anne can get really playful, but for big Hollywood awards bashes, she tends to opt for strapless (fishtail, column gowns, or full-skirted) and often turns to Giorgio Armani for the dazzling scene-stealer. This ombre crystallised dress from the Armani Prive autumn 2010 couture collection is just the ticket.
