Since we're always on the lookout for great celebrity style, here's a round-up of this week's best-dressed. And since there are often fashion misses among the hits, we couldn't resist pointing out these looks that were better off left on the hanger.
Check out our first instalment of the new year to see which stars nailed it and who was a fashion mess. And don't forget to check back each week to see who made the cut.
Best & worst dressed: 8 January
Swift is quickly establishing herself as a rising fashion star, and we think this is her best look yet. This pale pink J. Mendel dress looks stunning on the singer, and in addition to being flattering and age-appropriate, it's bang on this (and next) season's Black Swan/ballet trend with its delicate chiffon fabric and floaty silhouette.
The suede, studded boots don't match the overly embellished, frilly dress (which also ages Melua unnecessarily), and the matted curls and raccoon-y eyes don't work either. Fashion miss!
The colour orange is huge for next season and Raf Simons' Jil Sander collection was one of the most influential. Not everyone can pull off an electric hue like this (or a baggy silhouette) but we think Drew looks fresh and fashion-forward without being too try-hard.
The patched-leather Catwoman style leggings and boots would have been enough of a fashion statement and would have showed off Rowland's great body, but pairing that look with a sheer studded top and nipple tape makes this a total fashion disaster.

Kristen Stewart sure knows how to showcase her assets (and we're not talking about the hotties on either side of her). Her mile-long legs look amazing in those sexy slingback pumps and the gold-sequinned Reem Acra mini-dress. It's a great look for the star but still feels relaxed... maybe because she's sporting such a broad grin for once!
Kardashian's dress looks like it escaped from the sea. The head-to-toe teal satin isn't flattering and the shape doesn't work on the reality star's petite frame.
