The lowdown:No More Dirty Looks is a blog for women who don't want to sacrifice their health for their beauty products or their beauty products for their health. What started as a trip to the salon by the authors Alexandra Spunt and Siobhan O'Connor for a 'healthy' hair treatment (where the magic ingredient turned out to be formaldehyde) turned into a long running passion for uncovering the ugly side of the industry
What we love: Whether you're concerned about animal testing, chemical safety or the outlandish claims on the box of that new lotion you picked up, Alexandra and Siobhan are on hand to give you the facts without being either patronising or inaccessible. We also love that they aren't afraid to encourage their visitors to read information and posts which counter their own views.
Look out for: In addition to new product reviews and an upcoming natural make up challenge, Alexandra and Siobhan are running a No Soap Challenge between now and 26 January. The deal is that you shower or bathe as usual but give up soap and body wash.
