We already knew the who and the why and now finally we know the when and the where. Prince William and Kate Middleton will wed on Friday April 29, 2011 at Westminster Abbey.
The bookies had their money on August, but apparently the happy couple are just as keen to get down the aisle as the public are to see them take their vows!
It won't have gone unnoticed by many that the Abbey is where Princess Diana's funeral was held, but it is also has happy associations for the family as it is where the Prince's grandmother was married. Princess Elizabeth married the Duke of Edinburgh on the 20 November 1947 in a dress famously paid for with ration vouchers (pictured here). While Kate no doubt will have a larger budget, the royal family has confirmed that the wedding will be paid for from private funds coming both from the Windsors and the Middletons.
Guest list aside, only one major wedding mystery remains. The final w? The wear of course!
