Miu Miu Collaborates With Female Filmmakers On Series Of Short Films

We thought Miu Miu couldn't get any better. And now the Italian label has partnered with female filmmakers on a series of short films for the brand.

The first film, The Powder Room, is directed by Zoe Cassavetes (Broken English), who's created a dreamy short set in Claridges and starring Audrey Marnay, Caroline de Maigret, Line Gost, Sophie Vlaming, and some particularly delectable pieces from Miu Miu's spring/summer 2011 collection.

"I love the idea of a powder room, the ritual which takes place within them is very important for women," explains Cassavetes. "There's something special about preparing yourself, a moment before the action takes place. I love the sense of intimacy. It's a place away from men, where you can check out other women, and reglamorize yourself ready to face the world again."

"The story is about women and their private moments," continues Cassavetes, "so it's allowed to be free and dreamy... the dreamy part was the most fun. And the glamour."

Next time you find yourself in a powder room, make sure you take your time in front of the mirror and spritz on some perfume.

And of course, wear your best pair of Miu Miu heels.
