Spring/Summer 2011 Trend Report: Colour Block

02/02/2011 10:24 | Updated 22 May 2015

This spring we welcome some of fashion's biggest, boldest and loudest trends. With electric colour, graphic prints, maxi lengths and bright white as some of the key looks to emerge this season, there's certainly no room for modesty. It's time to stand out from the crowds.

Over the next week, MyDaily will give the lowdown on spring/summer's biggest trends. First up is Colour Block.

The mood: A mix of hot pink, tangerine, lemon yellow, jungle green and cobalt blue made eyes pop on the spring/summer front row. Rarely did one colour stand alone; instead, they were blocked together for maximum impact on the catwalk.

The must-haves: Vertical striped dresses, as seen at Prada, neon on neon à la Christopher Kane and accessories in a variety of bright shades.

MyDaily tip: Embrace the trend by wearing layers in different colours for full effect.

Take a look through the trend below.
