The upcoming opening of the latest Nars boutique is particularly well timed.
The brand's first flagship store is set to open on New York's Bleecker Street on 10 February, just as New York Fashion Week kicks off. With a flashy new store filled to the brim with the latest eye-popping collections, as well as in-store exclusives, it's sure to be a popular stop off for the fashion pack as they shop for the must-have items in between shows.
What's more, François Nars has conveniently opened his store next to the Marc Jacobs boutique. After working as Jacobs' key makeup artist for a number of seasons, there has been a lot of speculation around the possibility of a collaboration between the two friends. We can only hope!
According to WWD, there are plans to open ten more stores over the next five years and a London store is high on the list. In his interview with the publication, Nars said, "I think it's important that you know every detail when you open a store, that you pay attention to everything". With that, and the hints at a partnership with Marc Jacobs, the arrival of a UK Nars boutique is more than welcome.
