The LBD won the race on the Brits red carpet with Cheryl, Adele, Avril and Dee Koppang all rocking fabulous black dresses with simple shoes and accessories. Take a look at what I thought below. Dx

Love it – and especially love it with a nude shoe. The dress has sparkle, it's backless, there's a split up the thigh so you don't need anything else to distract you. Really nice natural hair and a nude heel – it's the way to go.

Good grooming reigns supreme! Matt's hair looks great. I remember during X Factor saying: "stubble is good – just keep it clipped back so it's neat and tidy". He looks well, which is great to see. I'm sure he looked just as bright-eyed and immaculately groomed at the end of the night...or perhaps he's still out...

Rihanna looks like a life-sized doll. If I look at it with a fashion eye I'm thinking I don't like that, but if I look at it with a fun eye I actually think that is totally fun! Fashion has got to be fun sometimes. I think what's getting me is the red hair with the purple with the yellow bow and the blue skirt – there are a lot of colours going on. Sometimes when there's a lot going on you want to stick to a much smaller colour palette...but if anyone can get away with it, Rihanna can.

Our very own Gaga. A fashion wild child. I love that colour it's very mature and strong. Not a colour you can hide in...and not a hemline you can hide in either.

Cee Lo in a tracksuit!!! That's pretty full on. Kris showed me his videos and he is full-on, especially with his clothing so someone who's like that has a chance of pulling it off. But you have to be someone who's known for being out there. You can't just randomly stick on a weird outfit and hope for the best. I know he suited up for his performance at the end of the BRITs show so he covered all bases on the night.

Adele looks gorgeous – really on-trend for the night with an LBD. It's a nice dress. Again, scraped back hair, simple shoes. Looks like that were the order of the night for the BRITs red carpet. Lighter makeup might possibly have worked even better for her.

For a girl who came on the scene as a little grungy skater girl with jeans and a hoodie top, her style has really evolved. This is a really sophisticated party frock. She's still got her look, which is cool. You look at her and go: "that's Avril". She's got colour through her hair and all of that – she's retained her style. It's a well put-together look.

Dermot always looks amazing in a suit. Dee's wearing a very cool number – a smaller dress underneath and a longer sheer dress over the top – something I always really like. We do quite a lot of that with Project D where the lining is shorter. She's also got the Lulu Guinness clutch I talked about in my Valentines Day gift-giving column. Has Dermot reading My Daily??? That's exactly the kind of dress you'd be waiting for to get that clutch out of the wardrobe and go yeahhhhhhhhh!

Bieber Fever! He'd look good in anything. It looks like he's grown up – he's definitely maturing isn't he? The leather bomber is ok – a bit dagy – but he's still so cute so you forgive him for that. He could get away with wearing a potato sack!!! His hair looks gorgeous and I'm sure all the young girls want to know what it's like to run their fingers through it.
