Fashion week is really all about the clothes, but the shows wouldn't be the same without the hard work and creativity of the beauty teams behind the scenes. Each day MyDaily will be picking our beauty look of the day and sharing with you why we loved it. First up? Jean-Pierre Braganza.

THE LOOK: Early Debbie Harry mixed with the backup dancers from Robert Palmer's iconic video for Simply Irresistible.

WHY IT WORKS: The tightly pulled back hair is the perfectly controlled counterpoint to the big colourful makeup. Keeping the skin pale helps the eye makeup to pop and the lips look crisp around the edges. Finally, the hint of yellow magnifies the Brooke Shields-inspired eyebrow - so much more original than the classic barely there shimmer.

RUNWAY THE REAL WAY: Admittedly this may be a bit much for your average woman on a night out. To take this look off the catwalk, replicate the high ponytail, but go light on the foundation to allow your natural colouring to be the base. Next, tone down the lip by using a tinted gloss instead of a matte lipstick, but keep the eye dramatic. Don't be afraid to go for the yellow highlights.
