DESIGNER: Phillip Lim for 3.1 Phillip Lim

INSPIRATION: A disco and punk rock lovin' woman who has a unique way of expressing herself through clothes

TOP LOOKS: Black wild lamb shearling jacket with antique-looking tuxedo blouse and burnt amber high-waisted trousers; an assortment of finely blended mohair options including trapezoid suspenders with leather binding, a cozy pullover, flared jeans, and cuffed shorts; a sexy sequined dress in purple and gold worn under a silk shell

ACCESSORIES: Gold tarnished booties and sky-high stilettos by Christian Louboutin; oversized animal print bags

WHO WAS THERE: Alexa Chung, Irina Lazareanu, Lim BFF and fellow designer Richard Chai

WHAT WE THOUGHT: It's telling that Alexa Chung, a resident "It" girl only attended Phillip Lim's runway show this season. We assume that the model/DJ/TV personality/fledgling designer is on board with Lim's musical trip down memory lane. For the record, we are too. Lim hit all the right notes, especially with delicious lambskin and shearling overcoats worn over discofied ensembles. High-waisted burnt amber pants and a crystallised jumpsuit worn under a silk overlay with slits-up-to-there were reminders to get your dance on every once in a while.
