DESIGNER: Amy Smilovic of Tibi.

INSPIRATION: "Sleek and modern simplicity of the 90s decade. Updated interpretations of American classics that are sophisticated, fresh and young are mised with extreme elements for night in rich laces, appliques and Rococo style prints."

TOP LOOKS: All the coats, the dresses and the "spider lace print" pieces.

ACCESSORIES: Sweet boot with bows, glittering gold flats with ankle straps, hot pink knit caps

WHO WAS THERE: Vanessa Hudgens; Olivia Palermo; Tinsely Mortimer.

WHAT WE THOUGHT: A Tibi coat is something to be prized, as it hits a perfect intersection of cool and classic. A/w 2011 is no exception, with a confident "calvary" coats and cosy shearlings. One black and charcoal gray topper had delightfully shocking pink peeking out from the pockets - just the kind of detail that make's Tibi's clothes so fun. (Hot pink was a motif throughout the collection, appearing on both knit hats and arm warmers.)

Tibi, of course, is known for its dresses, and this collection had frocks that were both very short and flirty,or slouchy, elegant and mid-calf. An ivory drop-waist boat-neck dress printed with deep watercolour splashes at the hem and a grey cable sweater dress get votes for wearability. But the show stoppers were a short shimmery gold and navy box-pleated dress and a sleeveless silk wook top with a sculpted neckline, paired with a skirt emblazoned with a scarlet swirl. Simple lines paired with dramatic fabrics -- wow, I'd love to walk into a room wearing either.
