DESIGNER: Karl Lagerfeld for Fendi

INSPIRATION: Country girl meets city slicker.

TOP LOOKS: Long coats in all kinds of fur, sheer, check shirts with a tweed ruffled panel, wool pencil skirts worn with colourful tights and Mary-Janes, pleated trousers with turn-ups and sleeveless dresses in black leather.

WHAT WE THOUGHT: Fendi's autumn/winter collection was made with the outdoors in mind. However, the colour, cut and the use of texture added a sense of luxury to these predominantly practical designs. If Lagerfeld was to dress a country girl for a day in the city, this is how she would look. Sensible but utterly stylish.
