Missoni a/w 2011/12 catwalk. AP

DESIGNER: Missoni

INSPIRATION: Enchanted fairies.

TOP LOOKS: Mohair knit jumpers and cardigans in ice cream pastel hues, blanket-check tweed coats, baggy houndstooth trousers.

WHO WAS THERE: All the top editors.

WHAT WE THOUGHT: While the sugary-sweet pastel palette - all seafoam, peach and lavender tones - is lovely, and the collection felt like we raided granny's closet (and got all of the best items with the floor-skimming hemlines and cozy knits), there were a few items that will be tough to pull off in reality. The snakeskin coats and boats, velour maxi-skirts and multicolour-striped jackets and trousers will be difficult to translate off the catwalk.
