Gareth Pugh a/w 2011/12

DESIGNER: Gareth Pugh

INSPIRATION: Futuristic warrior woman.

TOP LOOKS: Hooded leather coats with bronze detailing, black leather body-con dresses, a chiffon coat dress with leather sleeves.

WHO WAS THERE: Daphne Guinness was there supporting the designer.

WHAT WE THOUGHT: We love that Gareth Pugh is always full of surprises. So after opening with his more usual fare - all-black bondage-style warrior wear (leather breastplates, padded futuristic jackets), the designer unleashed some vibrant colour onto the catwalk, with electric blue caped dresses and chiffon frocks with trains. Adding even more drama to the collection, Pugh then showed off metallic gold pieces, first as an accent bedazzling leggings, leather coats and jackets and for the final looks, as head-to-toe disco ball fever. We hope Rihanna wears something from this collection, and soon!
