Most of us like to relax and overindulge when we're on holiday, and who could blame us? But the latest survey on European drinking habits suggests we Brits really go overboard when it comes to holiday boozing. According to a poll by holiday company Trip-Advisor, we drink more while on holiday than anyone else in Europe.

The survey's findings almost read like a scene from ITV's larger-than-life Friday night sitcom Benidorm. After quizzing more than 6,000 European holidaymakers (including people from the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy), researchers discovered 65. Italians are particularly restrained when it comes to holiday boozing, with just 28 of Brits say they're very careful when it comes to using sun protection. But 12% of French tourists say they're not bothered about using sun cream at all.
