After eight years of courtship, the Prince presented Kate with the oval blue 18-carat sapphire and diamond ring while the couple were on holiday in Kenya last month.
Diana, who died in 1997, chose the dazzling sparkler when she became engaged to Prince Charles in 1981 from the collection of Garrard Jewelers (the official crown jeweller). The ring cost an estimated £40,000 at the time and it is safe to say between inflation and fame it has appreciated in value!
Now we have confirmation of Kate's ring, all speculation turns to The Dress. Find out more about MyDaily's royal wedding dress predictions.
