Amanda Holden Pregnant - Second Baby For TV Star

Amanda Holden has announced she is SIX MONTHS pregnant with her second baby - and it's a boy!

In a statement on her website, the 39-year-old TV presenter confirmed she is expecting the baby in March. She wrote:

'Amanda Holden and her husband Chris Hughes are delighted to announce that Amanda is 6 months pregnant with their second child.

Their delight is increased by the fact that last year she tragically lost a baby. As they are sure everyone will understand they needed to get the all clear from the doctor before they shared their very happy news.

Amanda, Chris and their 4 year old daughter Lexi are absolutely thrilled and say they cannot wait to welcome the new addition to their family. Amanda will still be doing Britain's Got Talent Season 5 and Shrek the Musical in London's West End.'

Amanda and her husband Chris Hughes, 37, married in 2008.

The news has come as surprise to her fans and showbiz pals - her Britain's Got Talent colleague Piers Morgan expressed his shock on Twitter, alluding to the star's still svelte frame, he wrote: 'She's 6 months pregnant too - how the hell did someone so indiscreet keep that a secret so long? Very excited for her and Chris.' Holden later responded, saying: 'The reason I was able to keep it a secret for so long Mr Piers Morgan is by not telling you ( Mr Indiscreet )!!!!'. Perhaps in reference to her burgeoning baby bump, she then tweeted she looked like 'Mr Greedy' today!

Amanda had recently said she was 'broody' and keen to have more children. Her publicist, Alison Griffin added to Miss Holden and Mr Hughes statement saying: 'They say they cannot wait to welcome the new addition to their family.'

Miss Holden was previously married to comedian Les Dennis. The couple separated in 2002, three years after her affair with actor Neil Morrissey was made public.
