We're sure this is just what Prince William and Kate Middleton would want for their wedding - a cake featuring 3D models of themselves.

Michelle Wibowo spent 80 hours making the spongy work of art, which is a traditional English fruit cake covered with apricot jam, 10kg of marzipan and 10kg of icing sugar.

The icing was sculpted with details of the royal couple using photos, then airbrushed with colours to make it look more realistic.

Michelle baked the piece for a competition at the Ideal Home Show at London's Earl's Court, and scooped the Ideal Home Cake Decorator of the year for her efforts.

Details of the actual royal wedding cake have not yet been released, but one thing's for sure: it won't be modelled on themselves (and if it was, it will probably look more like them!).

We know Michelle won't be offended - she even admitted herself that the 'likeness isn't quite there,' adding that she hopes Kate and Wills won't be 'insulted'.
