Largely inspired by screen sirens of the '40s and '50s, Temperley London's bridal collection is for the free-spirited bride (think boho chick Milla Jovovich walking down the aisle in a Temperley goddess dress and gold diadem). The collection includes a range of silhouettes to suit a variety of tastes and body types, including cap sleeves, low backs and empire waists, as well as a selection of rabbit, lace and feather capes - perfect for keeping you covered on a cooler night. For a classic bride who doesn't want a lot of extra embellishment on her big day, Beverly Lister is the designer to turn to. Her creations are simple and elegant, made from top-quality fabrics like silk duchesse satin and Chantilly lace. We love the splashes of colour in the spring collection, like the dark sash on the Chapel gown (left, £1,950). Launched in 1991, Lister's creations are designed, made and hand-finished in the UK. The flagship store is in Surrey, but there are stockists around the country.
