Pregnant 16-Year-Old Hit By Police Car

A pregnant 16-year-old girl has been struck by a police car attending an emergency call.

Hannah Wilkinson was hit by the vehicle at 12.30am on 26 February in Yarm Road, Stockton.

She is now in the University Hospital of North Tees recovering.

Her stepfather, who declined to be named, told reporters Hannah was doing 'OK'. He refused to confirm or deny she had broken her pelvis in the accident, saying only: 'Nothing has been confirmed yet. She has had some scans and is OK.'

'We don't want to make any comment at the moment.'

The Independent Police Complaints Commission is now investigating.

Does it seem to you that accidents involving police cars seem to be far too frequent?
