Childless Couples Are HAPPIER, According To Report

Forget the patter of tiny feet bringing joy to a relationship - the latest research claims that couples WITHOUT children are far happier than those who do choose to have babies.

A study has found that nine out of 10 people married or living with their partner consider themselves 'happy' but the same report also finds that those who are the happiest are the couples without kids.

Researchers at Essex University who undertook the survey found that couples who considered themselves 'content ' also tended to be higher educated (both to degree level) and had been with their partners for less than five years, with the men in employment.

One of the study's co-authors, Prof John Ermisch, said the findings provided much insight into relationships, wedlock and home life, saying: 'This has opened up many new avenues of research in studying both marriage and family life.'

What do you think?

Do you agree with the study?

Would you ever admit you were happier before you had children?
