Rod Stewart and his wife Penny Lancaster are proud parents to a new baby boy.
Their son, named Aiden, was born yesterday.
The couple have talked frankly of their IVF battle to conceive another child and the 'emotional rollercoaster' they embarked on.
The couple already have a five-year-old son Alastair Wallace and have described the joy of telling him to expect a brother or sister after three IVF cycles.
"Mother and baby are healthy and blissfully happy," Stewart's RCA record label said.
Aiden is Stewart's eighth child. The 66-year-old singer has been married twice before, first to Alana Hamilton with whom he had Kimberley, 30, and Sean, 29, and to model Rachel Hunter who he has a 15-year-old son Liam and a 18-year-old daughtr Renee with. He also has daughter, Ruby, 23 by his former girlfriend Kelly Emberg, and a daughter Sarah, 46, who was raised by adoptive parents.
He has said this will be his last child.
Aiden arrived just a month before Penny's 40th birthday.
