Google's Zeitgeist 2010, a breakdown and analysis of all the search term trends entered into the engine for the year, has found India's most frequently Google search term.
For a population of 1.2 billion - making them the second most populous nation in the world - the result is quite surprising, with 'How to get pregnant' being the most Googled question.
Vinay Goel, head of products at Google India conceded it was a 'surprising' question but said:
'On a lighter note, however, it's interesting to learn that the searches by Indians on Google have become more mainstream over the previous years. We've been doing this analysis since 2007 and earlier, technology related searches were the top items. But now, Indians are seeking answers on entertainment, sports, finance, health and technology to name just a few subjects.'
