A girl of 13 has died after falling four storeys from her bedroom window shortly after posting a heart-wrenching message on a social networking site.
Chevonea Kendall-Bryan fell 45ft from her bedroom window at her Battersea home, just minutes after writing 'He wants me dead, he wants me to jump'. Her friends claim the tragic youngster had been subjected to bullying.
Writing on Facebook, the teenager's pal Ilona Pinnock wrote: 'I hope all those who bullied her are proud of what you've done.' Whilst school chum Niamh O'Mahony tweeted: 'Chevonea committed suicide yesterday as a result of bullying.'
The youngster's family however insist her death was a tragic accident. Her stepfather Michel John, 39, told reporters: 'She often sat on the ledge where she would text or ring friends. We've not heard anything to suggest she was being bullied. Everyone loved her so, so much.'
The police have taken her BlackBerry to examine the details of her final texts and phone calls.
What tragic news.
