Angelina Jolie put the glamour of making movies aside for real-life drama as she jetted into war-torn Libya yesterday.

The A-list actress visited a refugee camp on the border of Libya and Tunisia, where she was campaigning for aid for the thousands of people desperate to escape the conflict between Colonel Gaddafi and the UN-backed rebels.

Angelina, who is currently directing a movie in the Balkans, is a goodwill ambassador, and headed to the Shousha Camp at Ras Jdir to bring awareness to the refugees' plight.

Wearing a pared down black vest and trousers, she chatted to women displaced by the Libya conflict and also signed autographs.
