Baby Served Alcohol In US Restaurant

A 15-month-old baby boy was rushed to hospital after allegedly being served alcohol in his sippy cup in a restaurant.

The toddler's mum claims her baby's cup contained a 'margarita mix' and not the apple juice she had ordered.

The alarm was raised when the baby began acting oddly as the family ate their meal at the Applebees restaurant in Madison Heights, Michigan, USA.

Taylor Dill-Reese, the tot's mum, said the baby was taken to hospital where his alcohol level was .10 – over the legal limit for an adult driver. Ms Dill-Reese told reporters:

'Nobody at the table ordered alcoholic drinks, so he definitely shouldn't have received one.'

She added a manager at the restaurant apologised to the family, but didn't know what else to do. The outlet has since issued a statement, saying the incident was 'unacceptable'.

The baby was released from hospital and is thought to have made a full recovery.
