Kara Tointon and Rupert Everett have been busy getting West End ready, as these pictures of their first Pygmalion rehearsals prove.

Kara won us over with her walzing when she was crowned queen of last year's Strictly Come Dancing, so we were thrilled to discover that she'd be taking on the infamous role of Eliza Doolittle on the London stage - and even more so when it was confirmed she'd be acting opposite Hollywood veteran, Rupert Everett.

With Rupert playing the Professor Higgins to Kara's Eliza, the ever-professional pair were getting into character during the first day of rehearsals yesterday in London.

Pygmalion - perhaps better known as it's alternative film title, My Fair Lady - is set to hit the Garrick Theatre in May.
