It's not shaping up to be a good year for John Galliano. After being fired from Christian Dior last month, the disgraced designer has now also been let go from the brand bearing his name.

According to WWD, the board at the John Galliano label have decided to sack him from his own fashion house, with design duties being taken over by an in-house team.

The Galliano brand is 91 percent owned by Christian Dior SA - so it's not a wholly unexpected turn of events.

The designer was arrested back in February following an alleged anti-Semetic altercation with a couple in a bar in Paris, and shortly afterwards a video emerged of a second incident, showing Galliano drunkenly praising Hitler.

The 50-year-old has been keeping a relatively low profile since the video came to light, having checked into the Meadows rehabilitation facility in Arizona, and is due to stand trial in Paris.

If found guilty he could face up to six months in prison and a £20,000 fine.
