We all marvelled over the official royal wedding photos when they were first released - what a wonderful reminder of a momentous day. But with only 28 minutes awarded to photographer Hugo Bernund within which to get the perfect pictures, something was always bound to slip through the net...
Now look carefully. Can you spot the unexpected guest?
Upon closer inspection of the snaps, it seems that youngest bridesmaid Eliza Lopes had brought a little friend along to take his place in British history - a tiny pink toy 'Wiggly Worm'.
The three-year-old is clearly grasping a cuddly critter in the official portraits, a detail initially gone unnoticed despite the photos being circulated worldwide, until the Duchess of Cornwall drew our attention to it.
"Did you see the wiggly worm? That was the funniest thing, I can't believe no one has spotted it," Camilla said yesterday, of her granddaughter's little pink pal.
"I was so worried about Eliza. She's such a lovely little thing and looked so gorgeous in her dress but it was a very big occasion for a child of her age.
"Harry pulled this wiggly worm out of his pocket in the carriage to keep them amused," she explained. "Eliza loved it so much that she wouldn't let go and it even made the official photographs.
"Can you believe it? She was holding onto my finger but in her other hand was this worm!"
