Diary Of A Working Mum - March
March started with a gorgeous family holiday to the Gold Coast. We were chasing the sunshine, but as luck had it, it was sunny in Melbourne and grey clouds up North where we had travelled to... oh well... you can't win them all!

I flew around Australia with Brian McFadden and Kyle Sandilands to film the audition section of 2011 Australia's Got Talent. I was a little reticent about starting this year's season - would there be any more talent out there that would rock the world? Would we be able to uncover something special? Something we had not seen before? I don't know why, but I wasn't feeling confident. Now, after scouring the country, I have laughed and cried in equal measure at some of the most outstanding people and talents that you have ever seen.

I watched from an increasingly autumnal Melbourne as Project D's spring/summer 2011 collection hit stores and Tabs supervised the 'look book' shoot for our autumn/winter 2011 collection. Meanwhile, the whole Minogue family hatched party plans for my dad Ron's 'significant' birthday. I took it upon myself to organise the cake – or cupcake tower as it happened. Well, that is my specialist area of expertise!

Ethan also had a busy month. He's going through a developmental spurt so rapid I'm struggling to keep up. It turns out he is quite the flirt (he must get that from his father) and his favourite trick at the moment is to make eye contact with the women in the room and give them a cheeky wave.

He mastered rolling over a few weeks ago now, so I knew crawling wasn't far off and that it wasn't going to be long until I was chasing him around the house. 'Fail to prepare, prepare to fail,' being one of my favourite mottos; I've bought myself a couple of pairs of flat shoes on my recent trip to Miami (there's a sentence I never thought I'd find myself writing).

So, while Kris busied himself training for the Australian Grand Prix 'Celebrity Challenge' race, I armed myself with said ballet flats - and an enticingly jingly set of car keys - and set about encouraging our eight-month-old to take his first voyage across the dining room floor.

It didn't take him long to catch on - I wasn't kidding when I tweeted that he might be quicker than his daddy in the Grand Prix (Kris finished sixteenth) - and, if the look of intense concentration on Ethan's face is anything to go by, it won't be long before I actually have to take those flat shoes our of their box and put them on!

April is shaping up to be another busy month with pre-season Australia's Got Talent filming wrapping up with deliberations in Melbourne and a couple of exciting - but top secret - photo shoots in Sydney before the Smithogues board a plane for Europe.

With all the travel for AGT, Ethan is already a dab hand at air travel (and never wastes any time wrapping the air hosties around his adorable little finger). This is going to be our first long-haul flight since he was a tiny baby though. With solid food now in the mix, I'm packing the 'Dannii change bag' alongside Ethan's change bag as we speak!

Are you ready for us London??? Dx
