Sarah Jessica Parker looked absolutely lovely in this sheer lace Valentino gown as she attended the New York City Ballet's Spring Gala with husband Matthew Broderick.
We're assuming she was glad the lighter part of her outfit formed the top and not the skirt a little later, though, as Matthew committed the cardinal husband-on-the-red-carpet sin and trod on the hem of the dress.
Luckily no harm was done and no shoeprints were visible (although if Sarah is anything like us she probably had a furtive anxious inspection of the entire area when no-one was looking!)
Dress aside, we weren't totally convinced by the cross-body purse strap the actress was sporting. Perhaps next time Matthew Broderick could step on that instead...
