After countless rumours and bizarre interview answers, it's been confirmed that France's First Lady Carla Bruni IS pregnant.
Carla's father-in-law, French President Nicolas Sarkozy's dad, let the cat out of the bag by telling a German newspaper: 'I'm glad to be having a grandchild.'
Pal Sarkozy, 82 ended weeks of speculation over Carla's pregnancy, telling the paper neither Carla or dad-to-be Nicolas want to know the sex of the baby, but he's 'sure it's a girl who'll be as beautiful as Carla'.
Carla, 43, is rumoured to be three months pregnant, possibly with twins, and is expected to comment on the news herself any day now.
She is already a mum to Aurelien, 10, from a previous relationship, while Nicolas has three sons, Pierre, 26, and Jean, 24, from his first marriage to Marie-Dominique Culioli, and Louis, 14, with his second wife, Cecilia Ciganer-Albeniz.
